Brown period blood

My period have been very abnornal for the past four yrs. It last about eight days and the blood is dark brown. I have recurring vaginal infections. I was told that I have a cyst on my ovary, which bothers me from time to time. My question is could the cyst be causing the problems

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A prolonged bleeding of any kind from the vagina can be due to a sore or ulcer in vagina as you see in Herpes or otherwise, endometritis or infection of endometrium of uterus, cervicitis or infection of cervix, fibroids, vaginal infections, vaginal polyp, endometriosis and cancer of either cervix, uterus or ovary. It can also be due to a hormonal contraceptive of any kind or due to hormonal imbalance. Please consult a gynecologist to rule this out. Hope this helps. Take care!

I have know for the blood to be like that when your period first comes on. Meaning like the first time you ever started your cycle. Don't know if cyst is causing this if you are sexual active don't ignore this seek help don't be shame that is what the doctors are there for it could be preventable fut if it go untreated you could make the situation worst I encourage you to please go see about yourself don't take it light if you don't love you who is not moma, man, child, or no one will love you like you love yourself. GO TO DOCTOR DON"T TAKE IT LIGHTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
