Burning Urination

I had a problem when I urinate of a burning sensation, I saw my GP and was put on a course of Doxycycline for 7 days during this time the problem seemed to be dissapearing but over the past few days since finishing the course of antibiotics the problem has returned, what is the next step? I have been booked in for a blood test and ultrasound scan. (24,male)

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
A swab test to rule out STD, culture and sensitivity of urine to find out the causative organism and effective antibiotic, prostate examination and semen analysis should be done to find the cause. Please discuss with your urologist. Take care!

Keep seeing your doctor and follow their advice.  Te first round of antibiotics may not have cured your infection, so you ay need a second round or a different/stronger med.
