I am not doing any kind of rigorous exercises.
But recently i have started experiencing burning sensation and mild pain in my left thumb (Around the base of my left thumb actually)
And a vein has popped out near the base of my thumb whereas there is nothing as such on he right thumb.
What could it be?
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The burning sensation could be due to a thrombosed vein. It could also be due to pressure on the median nerve as in carpel tunnel at the wrist. You need to consult a doctor and rule these out by blood tests, X-rays, nerve conduction studies, rheumatoid factor, ESR, dopplar studies for thrombosis etc.
Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted. Take care!
