CPAP and intestinal gas
I have been using my new CPAP for a month now, pressure at 14 as prescribed. I am experiencing a terrible increase in intestinal gas.  Anyone out there with any suggestions?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
CPAP machines can cause air in the stomach-gas and bloating. Sleeping with head aligned with the body helps. If you want a raised head then the head end of the bed should be raised. Pillows should be kept to the minimum. Lowering the CPAP pressure can help but do not do this without consulting your sleep specialist. Switching over to bilevel pressure or C-Flex may help you too. So ask your specialist about it.
Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
