Can it be yeast?

For the past several years I have increasingly experienced drunk-hangover like symptoms. They include headaches, stomach upset, dizziness, foggy vision, confusion, slow thought, and shakiness. The symptoms worsen as I tire. Could this be related to a yeast infection? And if so, besides taking bacteria tablets, how would I go about reducing the symptoms? Blood tests by doctors show nothing unusual and my complaints have been dismissed as depression and stress. (*Note: I began taking acidophilus supplements a year ago and noticed improvement. Recently, as a result of root canal surgery, the dentist prescribed antibiotic treatment which seems to have undone all the progress from the past year.)

Thank you for responding;
LOL - Over the years, working with a Chiropractor we discovered that I do not metabolize water very well. However, for reasons not very clear, or because of all of the work we have done, that changed. I do not drink 8 glasses of water a day, but not come very close to it most days. The sugar thing was an issue at one time. Again working with my Chiropractor and knowing the risks, sugar consumption is greatly reduced, but not eliminated. (Every once in a while a small bit of chocolate candy is too good to pass up.) But your point is well taken.
The mention of vitamin C is new. I will try that.

To discover whether or not it was a food intolerance (since the symptoms originally seemed random), I reduced my food intake down to oatmeal and then began adding things again....slowly, as with a newborn. I found several food intolerances and discovered that some symptoms did not show up until 48 hours or longer after eating. That made several assumptions null and void.
A colonoscopy was performed and showed nothing, but IBS meds helped. Unfortunately, my medical insurance changed and no longer covered the prescription.
To my knowledge, I have not been referred to a gastroenterologist. I will see what I can do to facilitate that.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Since antibiotics increased the problems—you could be suffering from a dysbalance of lactobacillus—so take probiotics and see. You could also be suffering from an inflammatory bowel condition such as Celiac Disease/Ulcerative Colitis/Irritable Bowel Syndrome/ Crohn’s disease. Other than that it could be due to H pylori infection. It can also be food intolerance.
You need to consult a gastroenterologist and you may need colonoscopy, or endoscopy apart from stool test. Also log in what you eat and symptoms as they appear. You may be having a food intolerance. Take care!

Cut down on sugar consumption ... and start drinking 8 glasses of water a day ... but drink after exercising so your body absorbs the water.  High doses of Vitamin C 2000 mg to 5000 mg for 30 days will kill yeast if you have any ... but you are more likely dehydrated and eat too much sugar.
