Chronic nausea and headaches

In December I was in a car accident which resulted in whiplash. Since then I have been experiencing sudden nausea attacks. One minute I would be fine, the next I would feel faint, weak,my heart felt it was pounding out of my chest, dizzy and extremely nauseated. Then this would occur whenever I would drink even a sip of alcohol. In March I had a really bad episode at work, it wouldnt pass, so i had to go home. Since that episode my "attacks" have become constant. I have been stuck at home since then, only leaving for doctor's appointments. I am constantly nauseated, but it gets worse if i do anything active, anything in the heat, if i eat anything other than toast or saltine crackers, or if i get really excited in general. I have been to a chiropractor, and my regular family doctor. I have been on Protonix (acid blocker) for two months now and i dont think its helped. Anti-nausea medication has only made me worse and all of the tests taken turned up normal, including..MRI,CT-scan,spin x-rays, ultrasound, and UGI. I have a healthy record,no allergies, and before this rarely got sick. I was tested for thyroid disease a while back, and it showed up positive but barely. Please help me, I am a 21year old girl trapped in her house with no answers. School is about to start up, and I need to get back to work. Please help me!!

If any one finds out what may be causing this PLEASE let me know...I am only 23 and spend most of my time sick and haveing these massive headaches! My dr. says I have an  Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and that the pressure from fluid in my ears is causing the headaches and that is what is makeing me sick....but I think its something more, and I want my life back. For the past week I have been taking pain relievers and eating nothing but rice, crackers, and drinking sprite because that is the only thing that seems to stay down longer then an hour. Something has got to give, I cann't live or work feeling like this 24/7.

If you suffered whiplash was your neck area or head whipped badly.  Beleive me I know how you feel have been in 3 accidents in my life your body was strained in many areas it can take up to a year for you to settle back where you feel normal anxiety goes with this. Maybe ask your doctor for something for anxiety it will help.  Nausea can be hard to cetain smells of food bother you?  try and eat the things that sound good to you.  maybe look in to chiropractor there are many nerves thet can be affected to possibly pinpoint area naturally.  I used to eat alot of tums that helped and drank 7-up.  Anxiety causes stress which causes the body to react creating more acid in the tummy.  Best wishes.

believe me, ive tried absolutely everything to make this nightmare stop! ") My doctor prescribed that nausea medicine and it made me even more nauseated. Ive tried to calm down and figure out if anxiety is causing this nausea, but i really dont think it is. The chiropractor im going to doesn't use his hands to adjust me, but instead uses a "pro-adjuster". he's been doing adjustments to help my spine/neck of course, but he also has been doing adjustments in my stomach and for anxiety. I use to have anxiety attacks when i was about 16, and this feels way different. Im not afraid of driving, and im not afaid of going anywhere..i actually cant wait for the day i can actually go out. Even though i doubt that its anxiety i have tried calming techniques, but would it really be anxiety if i feel sick 24/7? even when im all by myself at home? i dont know, like i said, i'll try anything and everything to fix whats wrong with me ")

Sounds similar to my world, from one 21-year-old girl to another.  Nausea is the worst!  Have they tried giving you Zofran for the nausea?  It's the only thing I found that even remotely worked for me, even though it doesn't work all the time.  (They give it to chemo patients to help them with their nausea.)  But it also sounds to me like your issues may be anxiety-related.  A car crash can easily trigger the kind of anxiety necessary to produce the kinds of things you're reporting are happening now, and especially once the nausea takes hold, there is this fear about going anywhere and doing anything.  I know.  I've been there.

Oh, and protonix is the most worthless drug I have ever encountered.  Unfortunately, it's the only thing most insurance companies will cover.
