Cognitive Auras stemming from stress?

by Terry323, Nov 11, 2009 06:19PM
I am an almost 50 year old male who is experiencing cognitive auras, but has had two negative EEG's.  The auras that are accompanied by a sense of deja vu occur about once a month, last about 10 seconds, during which time I can't speak.  It feels like the high I got from using Marijuana back in my early 20's, but that was long ago.  The deja vu image fades quickly afterwards as I slowly regain my wits.  My first doctor thought I was experiencing a conversion reaction.  I'm using a Cpap machine now for mild sleep apnea that was a possible cause as well, but they have continued.  What can you advise me?
