Had MRI for pancreas, radiologist thought it might of been splenule that was spotted, Dr. had me have a nuclear scan to rule out splenule, which it did. Meet with general surgeon, he is going to confer with GI Dr. that specializes in the pancreas to discuss going down through mouth with scope to take pictures of pancreas. Dr. has put me on 50,000 iu of vit D per week. Liver enymes were fine until started on simvistatin, but Dr. says the med should be continued.
DeeSully:
First off, my major question is about this lesion on the pancreas. Was this followed up? Biopsied?
The vitamin D level is very low. Rickets can result in a low vitamin D. Did your physician address this.
The Hgb A1c is border line. 6.0 is considered diabetic so keep an eye on that. The blood sugar of 117 is high if this was a fasting glucose.
Liver enzymes (ALT, AST) tell us how the liver is doing. Slight elevated liver enzymes could be a normal differential...meaning your normal. However, this could also indicate something is going on.
I think that all of this is worth a second opinion with a physician. Put some pressure on him or her to follow up with you health. I personally think that a follow up MRI or CT scan is warranted. Check it out with your physician. Keep me posted.
