Constantly feeling sick,nauseous,vomitting,dizzy..PLEASE HELP

Hi. i am 19 years old and will be turning 20 in a week. I always used to feel energetic and lived life. But at the beginning of 2008 i started not to feel right.  I would feel nauseous, dizzy, and not being able to get up and sometimes i would randomly vomit. During college i would feel so dizzy and tired that i couldn't pay attention and when  i arrived home i didn't feel like doing anything, not even study. That was just the beginning. Now in the pass month everyday i go threw pain, i havent been eating the way i used to and i used to eat normally. Strange thing though at night before bed i usually feel kind of better and able to eat better then throughout the day but then the following morning i am back in the same world.   my stomach is in constant pain, and just about every other day i become nauseous and vomit.   I have not felt the same and it seems like its taking over my life. I miss my old days of always being out and having the time of my life and now whatever this is makes me stay inside and puts me threw constant pain. I have been reading online and think that it is anxiety. I cant remember much in the past of having bad aniexty, only about the obvious things that any would get it from. But ever since this has a occurred i get nervous when the smallest action is occurring, for example driving my brother to work. i will suddenly get sick and puke. I really want this to stop because i am starting to feel skinnier and i always look like i just woke up and have black bags under my eyes. please all help from anyone is appreciated this needs to be stopped.

Hi,

I suggest that you take an antireflux , antinausea combination for a few days - a combination of esmoprazole/ pantoprazole with domperidone would be good. You should also take an antacid gel two - three times daily.

Try to avoid fried, spicy, processed foods. Eat fruits, vegetables and plan your diet thoughfully.

Do not lie down immediately after you eat. Take a stroll, or a small walk maybe after every meal. Take small frequent meals which would be digested easily.

These measures would help with your symptoms to some extent.

You could also take some calcium supplements and multi-vitamins. You could read a book, take a warm shower before you sleep to help you sleep well and wake up refreshed in the morning.

It would still help to reconsult with a gastroenterologist for a complete clinical exammination.

Let us know if you need any further information and post us about how you are doing.

Regards.

Hi,

I would like to think that there are both physical and psychological diffrential diagnosis for your condition.

In the physical causes I would like to rule out ear problems, labrythinitis, vertigo, food poisoning, anemia, malabsorption syndromes, IBS etc.

On the other hand I also have some psychological problems which may also need to be ruled out: anxiety, depression, anorexia, bulimia, etc.

I know that this is a fairly long list. However, a GP would easily be able to make out the depth of your disorder and help make a diagnosis and treatment.

I think that you really need to get this diagnosed and treated immediately. I hope we can continue this dialogue and you will post more here so I can help your further.
Best regards
