Hello,
Thanks for writing in this forum.
What you are talking is the normal anatomy of the tonsils. The surface of tonsil has pits leading to lower lymphatic tissue and these pits are effectively drained by small glands (mucous glands).Sometimes these pits collect the food debris and hence inflammation or tonsillitis is caused.
Pls don’t worry as it does not see to be a symptom of oral cancer or tonsillar tumor. The symptoms of tonsillar cancer involve neck mass, mass on tonsils, sore throat, ear pain, foreign body or mass sensation, and bleeding.
I request you to quit smoking as although you are not having any symptoms now,but chronic smoking can lead to serious health problems later on.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
