Dealing with a tender sensitive lump above the penis

Hi, I am an 18 year old male who has recently experienced a lot of discomfort and pain from a lump that developed just inches above my penis, below the pubic hair. The Colour of the lump is just like skin Colour except slightly more pink. It is the size of a small coin and has been giving me pain even while doing simple activities like bending over. I have not had intercourse and the last time I shaved my genitals was at least 1.5 years ago. One thing I've noticed is that there's hardly any pubic hair growing on the lump - the pubic hair grows around the lump. I'm vey concerned as I'm not sure if it's a cyst or something more serious. It's been here for at least a week and I've done some warm compressions and it doesn't go away. Should I seek medical attention? Any help is greatly appreciated.
