"Dental Impact on body"

by Bootsy2, Nov 06, 2009 11:31AM
I have not been a good steward of my teeth. I was diagnosed with an advanced case of gum disease and I need the following question answer. I have experienced serious weight loss (25-30lbs) since the beginning of the year after the diagnosis.I went to my doctor who took various test ( blood work, prostrate thyroid, etc.)   I want to know if it is remotely possible that my teeth/gum condition has contributed to this? I currently need extractions done and slowly working towards that. My gums bleed and I'm scared to death that I might have cancer.(Bone, blood, etc.) I'm really concerned. PLEASE ADVISE
