Difficulty/Irregular Defecating Years After Surgery?

I'm asking for my girlfriend... struggling to find the appropriate place. Around 10 years ago, she had surgery to remove a cyst (I forget what it's called, but she explained it as basically a fetus that ends up growing as a cyst - we weren't together then, so that's the best I can do). This was performed at a rural hospital, and poorly apparently. They told her that during the surgery, they accidentally nicked an artery or vein, and had trouble stopping the bleeding. The surgeon at the time told her that she had to use very large sutures, and following, she had bleeding for at least a couple weeks. Ever since then, she has had irregular bowel movements - in that, she is often constipated for days. Presently, she does show some signs of potential gall bladder issues, but these symptoms predate that by years. She had been dealing with abdominal pain since the surgery. I am wondering if it's possible that this surgical mishap could have cut off some blood flow to the intestines or some other part of the excretory system... but researching this has been difficult. I understand medical terms, but my searches have mostly turned up home remedies for constipation. She has taken stool softener to minor effect, and magnesium citrate to almost no effect. Any ideas are appreciated.

There is a long history as to why she hasn't pursued the matter previously, but that is beyond the scope of the issue at hand.

Oh, I should say not to over do anything in the exercise department. Start slow, start easy, have her work her way up to something sensible, nothing Olympic like

Here is a sensible solution. Juicing. Get a good juicer, buy every manner of organic greens and fruits and have her drink that 3 times a day (google JUICING there are tons of great GREEN websites on it) Make sure she drinks her 8 glasses of spring water (maybe the first can be distilled with a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar with the mother). Detox baths with apple cider vinegar as well to help detoxify her body. We are like cars, we need the occasional overhaul and cleanse. Finally, EXERCISE daily.

3 months of the above, faithfully. Journal her pros and con symptoms daily. If she doesn't feel better or see improvement, I'll be shocked. Have her share her results with the community.
