Disturbing Reaction 2x to shot in my left arm

What is going on?  In Mar of 08 I had a shot in my left arm for bursitis, some type of cortisone.  That evening my face flushed dry hot and I started a nervous reaction during which I could not stop shaking and my teeth chattering for hours.  After phoning the nurse on call she told me to take benadryl.  It took a while but did help.  later that night I devveloped some type of pink eye which was actually iritis for the first time.  Dr said it was autoimmune attack in my system.  Took 6 weeks and that is gone.  Now 6 mos later I had a flu shot in my eft arm yesterday.  Last night I felt that creepy feeling that my body was reacting and I started shaking and chattering again.  Per my DR's advice after the last incidence she suggested I take an anti anxiety pill , loperazam, rather than a benadryl.  I took .5mg and it slowly stopped over an hour.
What is going on with me and shots?  What could this be?

Hi

The first time it was the effect of cortisone injection. The next time probably your mind was subconsciously expecting the reactions. Hence though you did not have dry hot flushed face, the nervousness set in. It is natural that since once you had a reaction, you are scared.

However there is a difference, the first was not an immunization, whereas the second one was. Generally these are tested, approved and then used. Reactions do happen once a while, but one should move on. Always it will not happen.

However it is difficult to diagnose without examining. Next time in case you have such a reaction, please consult a doctor immediately, who can examine you then.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and keep me posted.
