Dizzyness/black out/low bp

Today while driving, my heart started beating fast, my chest got tight making it hard to breathe, and I got blurry/fuzzy vision with a quick black out.  My bp was read at 92/60.  Glucose tolerance test tomorrow morning, along with some other test following at the hospital.  Any advice?

Thanks everyone for the feedback!

A panic attack was considered....along with a million other things. ;)  It scares me if that was it though because how can you control that?  I didn't feel any stress or anxiety to bring it on...

I do have to eat all throughout the day and cannot miss breakfast.  If I don't eat often, I do start to feel faint.  On this given morning, I had a whole wheat bagel with butter, cream cheese and cinnamon which I have every morning at 7am.  My "spell" happened at 7:55am.  The only difference that morning was that I took my Vit D with a small drink of OJ before I ate my bagel.  Normally I only have water in the morning, and don't have a coffee until 9:30/10am with a peanut butter sandwich.

So, I wasn't doing anything strenuous since it was early in the morning, and it only lasted for a few seconds.  However, just afterwords, I was shaky, weak and had a hard time talking and moving quickly.  I felt very weak and slow for the rest of the day.

I've felt the start of these symptoms (heavy chest and rapid heart beat) but I've never lost my vision and it ended as fast as it started. I've also passed out before, but  with warning.  Usually it happens while I'm standing and need to eat.

Thanks again, and if anything I've posted rings any more bells, please feel free to post.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Was this the first time it happened? It could be because you were empty stomach or had severe acidity. Dizziness while driving can be from driving anxiety, claustrophobia of being in car, carbon mono-oxide leakage (get this checked at a mechanics), pinched cervical spinal nerves (a MRI of this spine should be done). Sometimes it is due to fluid in the cochlear canals of the ear. Apart from it other causes of dizziness will need to be looked at.
Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!

If I had to throw out a guess, you were experiencing symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis...but I don't have nearly enough info, your BGCs should narrow down the problem

92/60 is pushing the limit on hypotension. 110/70 or 120/80 is a good range to fall in. Do you get excessively tired/faint after you eat, or when you haven't ate for several hours? Were you doing anything strenuous? How long did these symptoms last?

Maybe possible Panic Attack?  Ask doc or research it...
