Electric shock/snapping feeling in my arm

3 months ago I started a job where I use my left arm for holding heavy loads of clothes on hangers. About a month after I started, I had some strange symptoms in that arm. It felt partially like I was getting an electric shock and partially like my nerve in my arm was snapping. It happened a few times that day but only in that one day. Then for the next month it never happened, until today. It was real bad today, happening about 30-40 times while I was at work. It doesn't happen when I'm holding still, only when I'm lifting something or moving my arm a certain way. But it doesn't hurt, there is no numbness or tingling, it just feels like i'm getting a shock and like something is plucking my nerve in my arm like a guitar string. It isn't necessarily painful, just very annoying, and I dont know if I'm hurting it more by continuing with this job. I can't go to the doctor because the job is only part time and I don't have insurance, nor do I have any money to pay out of pocket. Does anyone have any idea what this is and if there are any natural ways I can prevent it from happening again?

There is no pain at all though, and it feels totally fine after it happens. I can't afford a chiropractor either, I'll have to try those natural remedies! At work the last 2 days it hasn't happened so I'm glad.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The jolting pain and electric shock like symptom can be due to a pinched nerve. If you cannot consult a doctor then visit a chiropractor to help with it. Take care!
