I just looked through your profile and saw that in January you were treated with methotreaxate which is known to cause memory impairment. I think you may want to check into that, and see if there is a correlation.
Best wishes.
Lady, you may not even know what you are forgetting - in this case, your husband was a direct witness to an episode you don't remember, but it may be that there are missing patches in your memory that no one is there to remind you of, or somehow it doesn't come up that something happened that you now can't remember. You don't say what the event was that you forgot - but it doesn't sound as simple as you forgot he mailed a letter at the drive through post office. It sounds like it was a significant amount of work you had to perform, with multiple tasks, that you now have no memory of.
Best wishes - this really sounds like it bears watching closely.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Memory loss is also a common symptom of frontal lobe injury. Did you have ahead injury in the past?
Certain types of epilepsies and seizures and sleep disturbances too cause short term memory loss along with tiredness or fatigue. Chronic infections too are known to precipitate memory loss. For this you can try yoga and meditation. Disorders of the hypothalamus, chronic fatigue syndrome and psychiatric disorders like depression too cause similar symptoms.
To treat memory loss, you have to find he cause first. If all brain related causes (transient ischemic attack, disorders of hypothalamus, dementia and multiple sclerosis, head injury etc) are ruled out then Vit B12 deficiency, chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep disorders (by sleep studies), depression, use of certain drugs, and certain types of seizures (where memory loss is the predominant symptom) should be investigated for as the cause of memory loss. Apart from sleep studies, EEG, you may need cognitive tests. Please consult a neuropsychiatrist. Based on the results of these tests some assignments, vitamin supplements, yoga techniques, memory games etc can be tried to improve memory.
Take care!
Hi ladySD,
it is quite common to forget something. Actually, you reminded me that I asked my husband to go to Costco and he came back I saw him put everything away. Then, about an hour later I asked him when are you going to Costco? I really didn't remember. He said I already did remember and then I did remember. I felt dumb. These things can happen but if it happens all the time you might see a neurologist because they can check things like seizures etc. They have a type of seizure that you don't get the big grand mal or typical seizures and you just blank out for a time. It is possible that this happened to you but I would see if it happens again then maybe get it checked out.'
Take care,
