Facial PRessure

For almost a week I have had a pressure n the left side of my face, around the eye. It causes me to feel lightheaded sometimes and I'm not sure what is causing it or why. IT can be worse when I am reading, and sometimes I don't even notice? Do I need glasses? IS there something more serious up? Thanks.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The pain in the eye can be due to ocular or ophthalmic migraine, glaucoma, stye, sinusitis, eye infections, eye strain as is seen in refractive errors (if you cannot see properly and need spectacles). Please consult an eye specialist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

It sounds like you may have (had) a migraine headache.  The pain can be worsened with reading and it often centers around one eye.  If this is new for you, you should go in and get a brain scan where they can check for tumors, blood vessel abnormalities, etc. to try to rule those out.  Also, the word pressure automatically brings sinus infection to mind so you might want to get that ruled out as well.
