Feeling full in the morning

I have been recently getting up feeling completely full, almost as if I would have finished a meal; then after I do not seem to have any need for food till late afternoon 2pm and again I only get easily full with small amount. Last night I had a sever pain on the centre of the sternum It kept me awake for hours I was taken deep breaths and holding the air in as long as I could thinking that it might only be stress.

I am 59 years old, approaching my 60th I normally follow a Mediterranean way of cooking, as I am originally from that part of the world – In the last 3 years my husband and I suffered lots of stress due to our business, specially when the last recession, now we have been bankrupt for over a year, but the stress is lingering on.
Hope my explanation could help your answer.

Thank you

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Well, stress can kill hunger. However in your case it can be a combination of stress and acidity. Raise head end of bed. Take Omeprazole empty stomach in morning and an antacid gel at bedtime. Refrain from smoking, alcohol, fuzzy drinks and spicy food. See if this helps.
Meanwhile try and get liver, pancreatic and gall bladder function assessed. It would be best to consult a doctor-may be go to a walk in clinic. Take care!
