Fixing of a metal plate and six pins

My wife's incission is still running watery puss after dislocating her shoulder and splintering her humerus 8 weeks ago.
Does this mean that her body is rejecting the metal and that no healing will happen until all the metal is removed?

If you wife is too unwell to go to see the doctor, you can ask for a home visit.  If you ring when the doctors surgery is closed, you will be able to get through to the out of hours doctors service and a doctor may come and see your wife if you are not able to get to the out of hours doctors venue.

Do get urgent medical attention, because it sounds as if the wound is infected and she will require an urgent course of antibiotics.

Let me know how you get on.

Not necessarily, your wife could just be suffering from a infection. Please tell me you have taken her to the surgeon or family doctor so they can physically look at the incision.
