Floaters/Flashes/Shadows-Eyes

I have been to two different eye doctors...Optimologist and a Specialist of some sort.  Both seem to think my eyes are fine and there is no reason that I should be seeing things such as floaters and flashes.  I can't even go out in the sun without really dark sunglasses on or my eyes will hurt like no other.

The floaters are spots clusters and uncolored lines.  They are bad whenever I am outside during the daytime.  The flashes are pretty much constant and everything seems to have a sort of "static" in front of it.

Also....if I even glance at something and then look away the image is like burnt into my vision.  It is like my brain and eyes are not on the same page.

I really don't know what this is and it is really annoying me

I have had a CT and they same everything looked normal.  It is really getting frustrating because it is a constant thing and no one seems to have an idea of what it is....like they think it is just an annoyance.

Hello,

Floaters and flashes are very common and are considered normal in old age.In your case, the most important possibilities that need to be ruled out are retinal detachment and some neurological pathology.Because you are having dizziness along with,so it is important to consult a neurologist and get your self evaluated for any intracranial space occupying lesions which may be pressing on the optic chiasma which can result in these symptoms.Maybe a CT or MRI head may be required.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.Kind regards.
