Freezing all the time

Who do I see when my PC ruled out any thyroid issues.
I am experinces being freezing cold in perfectly warm weather. Especially in my home. I am a 51 year old female, with osteoarthritis, endomtreousis and have had a total hysterectomy, and deal with chronic back pain which I detoxed from all opiates when put on them 3 & 1/2 yrs ago for dislocated disks, off all pain meds for 3 months which is when these symptoms started, and now seeing an Ortho specalist for a recurring knee flare up, being told its inflammation . Which calms down 2 to 3 days on anti inflamitories.
Yet I can not get warm, feet are freezing all the time. I have experinced menopause, and all the symptoms, but more hot flashes, and night sweat than anything else. This is different ?
I am cold and can't regulate my body temp, yet sweat which makes me colder, and is embarrassing. Changing clothing 5 times a day into dry clothes. I am miserable with this condition, and have had to not go out with friends, and panic over appointments if there's AC.
My Doctor had me checked for hyperthyroidism and was negitive.
I have several things in place, aqua theropy, accupunture, and chriopractic to deal with lower back pain issues as an alternative to opiates.
I thought getting off meds and getting into alternative pain management would improve my quality of life, which it has, but now this ?
I've even spoke to an addiction specalist who felt any detox symptoms should be well past by now.
When I look up these symptoms I see many women experince this, yet I'm confused who to see to get a proper diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
I just want to feel well. The pain I can deal with. Not being able to enjoy my Grands is killing me !
Any advice would be grately appreciated.

Agree with Barb135 but also how long have you been off the opiates? The after effects can actually last quite a long time (I know, my husband was on them for years and suffered through going off); another thing is are you on any replacement hormones, bioidentical creams etc? That may help too if your doc approves. But in any case for sure your pain will be worse after opiate dependency, for awhile, while your natural endorphins replenish themselves. Those darn things are a bear to get over, but hang in there.

What tests did your doctor order to rule out a thyroid condition?  If he didn't order Free T3, Free T4 and the inevitable TSH, as well as antibody testing, he didn't do enough.  If you have results for any of those tests you might want to check out the thyroid forum and post the results and reference ranges there.  We might be able to help you.
