Fullness on left side with discomfort

For several months I have had this feeling of fullness on my left side mostly when I lie down. I saw a doc and he ordered a ultrasound of the liver and spleen. I did not get any results. I asked the lab to send them to my doc and they said they would. When I saw my doc I told him I had these test and he said he didn't get them and asked me if they really did a report. I told him I sure thought so. He seemed to be unconcerned. He was not the doc that ordered the test. I can't seem to find out anything from either doc. I have one doc while I live in FL and the other while I am living in IN. I am a snow bird so I have two doc's. Once in a while I get a sharp pain on the left side. I have suffered with irritable bowel for a long time. It started when I visited South American. Never had problem before that.  But the doc's don't seem to understand. While I was there I became unconcious and was seen by a doc that gave me something by IV. He spoke prothagese and I could not understand him. One doc asked me what he gave me but I told him I could tell him so he just ignored the symptom's

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Fullness in the right side of the abdomen can be due to IBS. There are no tests for IBS. Diagnosis is generally by history, symptoms and elimination of other causes like gluten intolerance or Crohn’s disease or lactose intolerance.
Chances are also that you have esophageal reflux (GERD), where the food in your stomach is thrown up into your food pipe or esophagus. Another possibility is hiatal hernia, where a portion of stomach herniates into the chest cavity through the diaphragm. Both can cause a discomfort in the chest area, burning, heaviness etc.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please consult a GI doctor or gastroenterologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
