Gastrointestinal issue to hyperthyroidism?

It started out as a gastrointestinal issue: nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite, diarrhea, etc.  Then all of a sudden, I couldn't sit or stand without my heart rate soaring.  Now, my BP and heart rate are high.  I'm on a beta blocker, which has helped and the Dr. said that my TSH levels are low indicating hyperthyroidism.  Last night, I woke up with my heart racing and had chills like I had the flu.   What can this be and what do i do??

Could you have been exposed to Lyme Disease?  It is one possibility.  I have had all the symptoms you describe, and I went undiagnosed for a while because I didn't have the expected joint or muscle pain, and I also tested false negative.  Most doctors aren't familiar with all the symptoms and don't realize a negative blood test does not exclude it.
