Hi
I would say you need to be evaluated by a gastroenterologist, for the chronic diarrhoea, as it could be a symptom of one off many gastro problems,
There are many gastro problems like IBS, CHROHNS,COLITIS, DIVERTICULITIS,CAELICS, GLUTEN INTOLERANCE, LEAKY GUT, just to mention a few.
You need some investigations, to find the cause off your diarrhoea, and also your salt and electrolyte balances as well as your general health.
I would say ask your GP for a referral to a consultant gastroenterologist.
Also if you are concerned about HIV, you can have a simple blood test to check for this.
I wouldnt worry to much about this, as stress can make the bowels worse.
Good luck
Nicola
Thanks for the words of wisdom it really helped cool the nerves. What can you do to help treat IBS?
iritable boul syndrome. or ibs is what i call it. i have it. its just a minor thing with you digestion or intestins. i havent had a normal stool in a few years. its nothing to worry about but if you start cramping you shouldnt worry cause i do.
I HIGHLY doubt it's HIV. You probably have a gallbladder issue or IBS, or any other digestive issue. Doesn't mean you have some deadly disease.Besides, wouldnt you rather have chronic diarrhea than constipation? Go the doctor and voice your concerns, cuz you know you will be worrying about it until you get a definitive answer.
