Hand still twitching and getting worse

About two years ago, I asked here at MedHelp for advice on my right hand's twitching.  I've tried exercising my hands, vitamin B6, extra water, etc, however it is still twitching.  It's got worse that now my arm, at times, will jerk as well.  Doctor has said that it's stress.  Chiropractor claimed it was a pinched nerve and attempted to treat it with no effect.  Not sure if this is in connection or not, but I've been struggling with depression & ptsd that has been gradually getting worse.  Also have been having stabbing headaches with pins & needles feeling on the same side as pain which radiates all the way down into my hand.  While the twitching only occurs in my right hand, the head pain and tingling happen mostly on the right side, but occasionally on the left.  This is getting beyond bothersome and is embarrassing to myself and my family.  Does anyone have any advice or insight that might be of help?  I've finally reached a point in dealing with my depression and ptsd that I'm ready to face my past traumas, but would like to not be sidetracked by my hand and now arm's constant movements.

Thank you!

ask for an mri because it could be carpel tunnel or even chiari malformation and both can cause headaches the numbness pain and ptsd. you have to ask for the test though.

If you're getting numbness and tingling, you should see a neurologist.  Someone in physical medicine and rehabilitation or in orothopedics would be good choices as well.  Radiating pain suggests that a nerve is being irritated or pinched somewhere.  They might do an xray, MRI, and/or an EMG (tests nerve conduction and function).  There could be something wrong with the spine causing irritation of the nerve.  There might also be severe muscle tightness irritating the nerve.  And pain has a way of building on itself, and is usually worsened by depression (and vice versa).  Stress can certainly make you twitch, but it doesn't cause radiating pain and tingling.

Please talk to a pharmacist before trying any sort of supplements, and please do not substitute supplements for a doctor's visit.

There are solutions made of Bach flowers that you can try.  Liquid plant extracts available from homeopathic doctors... For emotional trauma "Star of Bethlehem" is recommended.  Walnut is for emotional adjustments. also Magnesium is excellent for spasms and twitches.  Even a warm bath with Epsom salts helps because you absorb the Magnesium from the salts. - I hope this helps you... truly.
