Has anyone ever experienced this?

This is a new one on me!!!  For the last few months I have had the reoccuring feeling that the inside of my lips (mostly lower) are a combination of numb and tingling.  Maybe even a little swolen and red.  It comes and goes and I don't think it's connected to anything that I eat.

It's just another weird symptom that I have to worry about---does anyone know what this might be?

I know an herb called "Kava Kava" can create the sensation that you describe.

You may want to ask your physician to check your calcium level. There is a condition called, "tetany" that can cause tingling lips and/or other symptoms.

Thanks for the information.  I don't take Kava Kava but I will look up the other thing you mentioned.  It's such a weird feeling and I don't think it's always there.  It' kind of feels like my lower lip is swollen on the inside and tender.  So weird---but thanks again.
