Having racing heart and lightheaded episodes.

Hello, I am new to this site. I am posting about a problem I am having in hopes of getting some ideas of what it could be.

About three months ago I was sitting at home not doing much because I was having some pains that I thought was gas. I stood up and walked around to see if it would go away.

When I sat down again I noticed an odd pop in my chest area. I tried getting up, but I noticed I had a terrible pain in my chest that would worsen if I tried breathing deep or stretching completely upright. I also had wheezing and shortness of breath. My heart was also POUNDING I've never experienced anything like that.

I didn't go to the emergency room, because I felt my heart slow down on its own, but the pain in my chest continued. It was two days later that I went to the emergency room because I got really lightheaded all of a sudden. I also noticed my heart beating faster than usual when this happened. I let the Er doctor know about what had happened two days before. They did ekg, x-ray, full blood work. Everything was normal. They told me I could be suffering from Gerd. I went home with an aciphex prescription.

A week after that my chest pain was gone, but not the lightheaded feeling. I got a severe allergic reaction that landed me back in the Er. They told me it could have been the aciphex that caused it, but they and I were unsure what caused it. I was put on prednisone and given IV benadryl while at the Er. The prednisone caused bad chest spasms that would not let me fall asleep and would wake me in the middle of the night with a horrible adrenaline feeling in my chest. Went to the Er again for this and was given diazepam to sleep.

That was all in the first two weeks after the first Er visit. I have since been getting lightheaded episodes and racing heart. I also noticed muscle jumps and jitters all over my body(mostly in both calfs, face and chest). I also have odd sensations in my head on back of my neck like a cold pad is Back there accompanied by weakness. My nose also feels like it swells up from the inside causing the lightheaded feeling to worsen.

I also noticed I have a lot of gas build up. That has started when all this started. It almost feels like the gas is pressing against something or that something is touching where it's not supposed to.

Throughout these three months since my first Er visit I was on a wait list to get a primarily care doctor who I finally saw a week ago. He wants me to get a sleep study done as well as an echo of the heart and a 24 hour heart monitor. I also got blood work done for cholesterol that showed my "good cholesterol" a bit low but overall was fine.

Just today I got another racing heart lightheaded episode while I was walking. I felt like I was going to faint. My heart was beating really fast and all of a sudden I got that pop in my chest that made the lightheaded feeling stop immidiatly. I also got a rush throughout my back and neck when this happened.  I was even shaking from my hands after this.

My echo is later this month and the appointment with the sleep specialist is not until Jan next year. I am still lightheaded and worried that I have something bad that is really hard to detect.

I am in my twenties and male. My blood pressure. Is sometimes 115/60 and other times it's 134/85 my pulse average is 78bpm I know it's supposed to change, but I've never recorded it when I get my episodes. I am also a overweight bmi 35
