Head pressure and lighthead

Hi and Happy new year to all, 49 yr old male suffering from on and off pressure in my face various spots, sometimes more uncomfortable then others. This leads to pain in eye sockets, temples, fullness in ears, teeth, back of head ( where you want to rub the bones behind the ears) jaw muscles cheeks and sinuses. Worse is I have developed lightheadedness or vertigo ( I am not sure of terminology but my head does not spin but when I walk sometimes I feel like a prankster comes up and shoves me forward or to the side or even up and down.) This then leads to headache and my Bp goes up and I get real nervous....Does this sound familiar?  I have been through many doctors many tests. All negative thank god. But negative tests do not make me feel better it makes me a nervous wreck which makes matters worse. Sound familiar?  The pressure in my head worsens when I laugh or talk alot or any kind of exursion (spelling?) If I work out head feels like it wants to burst so I am limited. Needless to say all this is very concerning and depressing. Its ongoing now for over 2 months my quality of life is getting bad and my depression from the symptoms is worsening. I have no desire to leave my house or interact with friends. I shove myself to work. Sorry for the long post but if this sounds familiar please let me hear from you. At least talking with others with similar problems will not make me feel so alone with this.  Thanks

Hi,

I have the same symptoms as what you all have described, doctors and ent boiled it down to either stress, anxiety, possible positional vertigo or possible inner ear infection(which they can't detect).  I'm still looking for my own answers.  I do understand what it feels like being fatigue and its aweful.  I've been feeling all these for almost two months.  I have ceased driving as well.

I do feel like that sometimes and recently, I've had all the symptoms you describe above for about 3 weeks and then I wake up one morning, things were a bit easier... and after a few days, the pain was gone...
I am hypothyroidic and my TSH levels were a bit screwed up, so my doc linked the heavy head, neck-ear pain and the dizziness to my thyroid prob... it could be that... on the other hand, it could be just stress... stress can really mess you up good...

Hi,

I feel a lot of the same symptoms.I have had a headache for a month, My top and back of head hurt, my ears have pressure and pain behind the ears, back of neck and throat also hurt. Also, I am very fatigued and foggy headed, like I am in a dream. I have been to many doctors and I have done blood work. Blood work was fine. I have seen an ENT and he said nothing was wrong other than possible sinusitis, but I have no drainage. I have had CT scans of brain and sinus, but everything is normal except for a deviated septum. I am just like you, i wish someone could tell why I feel like **** for a month now. I am getting real bad anxiety and panic attacks and don't know what to do. Good Luck!

Hi,

What tests have you done so far? Did you visit a neurologist or a general practicioner?
Have you ruled out any chemical imbalances caused due to dehydration, vitamins deficiency, iron deficiency etc.? Perhaps your high blood pressure could cause you the headaches or the dizziness. Have you checked yourself for a possible thyroid problem? The diziness and the vertigo feeling could be because of a cochlea problem in your ears.
Anyway, the symptoms are there, they bother you and they refrain you from keeping up with a normal social life. Go check it again. Take a second opinion or visit a large university hospital and retake some tests.

Hope you feel better soon. Best of luck! :)
