Glad that you have the constipation sorted out.
The only other thing I can suggest is to try natural remedies to see if that will help with the nausea. Ginger is supposed to be good as well as camomile, dill and mint.
Thank you for your comment.
I have had the Helicobacter Pylori tested and that was negative.
I have also been on movicol which made no difference
The thing is Constipation is not causing my pain and nausea which i have all the way through this. I was constipated at the time of the MRI scan. However i am not any more and wasn't before hand.
I would love to have a balanced diet however eating anything through nausea and sickness is really difficult. I generally eat lots of fruit and veg and that is about it when i can face it.
I could quite easily go all day with out eating as i am never hungry.
Mind you i used to love my food.
Have you had any testing done to rule out Helicobacter Pylori? You do not need to answer that, it is just a something to think about.
Co-codamol does cause constipation. If you are OK with Paracetamols, these don't cause constipation.
The other thing that you can do to remedy the constipation is to take stool softeners. Your doctor can prescribe these for you or you may be able to purchase them from the pharmacy. The stool softener comes in the correct measured single dose sealed in a sachet that you mix with water and drink. You can drink more than 1 sachet a day and instructions are provided with regard to use and the amount of dosages. They do not have any flavour as such so you could add your own flavour to it.
There are different types available, but the one that I am familiar with is Movicol.
Make sure you have a healthy and well balanced diet. Avoid junk foods, fried, highly spiced, sugary and processed foods. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (you may need to keep a record of which fruits and veg and OK for you). East smaller portions. It is better to eat more smaller portions throughout the day than have a large portion when you have your meal.
It is also very important to drink plenty of fluids (not alcohol) and especially water. About 2 litres (4 pints) is the recommended amount, unless you are given other information from your doctor or urologist. This is important too to help ease the constipation.
Doing exercise like going for a brisk walk will also help with your bowel movements.
