Help?

So for a couple of months now I have been feeling very tired, weary, achy and irritable. I have suffered from itchy skin and unexplained yellow-ish bruises all over my body.

On Monday I couldn't physically get out of bed as I felt too weak and was suffering terrible joint pains. My mother called the doctor and he requested that I take some blood tests which I did. I have been asked to contact the doctor tomorrow morning for the results of these tests but over the past couple of hours I have been getting more symptoms.

My upper abdomen has become increasingly painful, causing a sensation similar to being winded and I'm having slight trouble breathing. My skin has become very sensitive to touch and is increasingly itchy and I have vomited twice.

All advice welcome. What does anyone think I may be suffering from? Should I seek help before calling the doctor? If my blood tests are clear should I tell the doctor
Of changes to my symptoms?? Help!!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
One possibility is severe acidity with GERD with H pylori infection. This is treated with a comination of proton pump inhibitors like Omeprazole along with antibiotics and antacids. Well, joint pains with rash or bruise like symptoms can be seen in SLE, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, polymayalgia rheumatica and chronic fatigue syndrome. Gout, though typically affects the great toe, can cause multiple joint pain with rash. Hashimotos Thyroiditis is another possibility. Hayfever and rheumatoid arthritis too should also be ruled out. Crohn’s disease is another possibility.
Another possibility is reactive arthritis, which could have occurred in reaction to something. In this case you need to rule out the cause for the hives or urticaria. Urticaria is usually triggered by allergens, such as drugs, foods, insect bites, inhaled substances, in response to sunlight, cold, heat, stress, exercise, or a viral infection. Other common allergens are pollen, mold, dust, pet dander, or cosmetics. Food allergies like to gluten and alcohol too should be looked into. You may need to consult an allergy specialist.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Wait for the results and then consult your doctor. Take care!
