As you suspect, this could be a hernia. It could also be a localized collection of fat left behind during the tummy tuckTucks hc. The burning sensation can be due to refluxGastroesophageal reflux disease Gastroesophageal reflux in infants Hiatal hernia repair Reflux nephropathy Vesicoureteral reflux or GERD or simply acidity. Smoking can slow down the healing process and cause burning and pain on and off. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined.

i know you posted this back in May, what ever happen, i had my tummy tuck June of 08 2 months later i had a lump no pain in my upper stomach, it was a hernia seems the dr pulled my muscles to tight and the stitches that held my muscles ripped, after spending all that money to get rid of scars i now have a scat on my upper stomach , my surgeon says that the muscles are weak, so he wants me to do crunches lol,
