Hip and Leg Pain

At night I have severe pain in my left leg when I lay on my left side. So much so that it wakes me and/or I dream I am in terrible pain and wake up in pain.If I sit with my leg bent to the side I have the pain and it can only be aleviated by straightening my leg and holding it straight out. I also have pain in my right hip when laying on my right side.The pain in my hip also occurs during the day even when sitting.

My mother has Paget's disease of the bone and she had pain in hip and leg.  She also noticed that her leg was hesitant or different when she walked.
