How Can I?

Okay I posted on here a few days ago about a rash that I had, well I went to the doctor and he diagnosed it as a yeast infection under both my armpits and in-between my groin folds.  He gave me an oral med to take once a day for a month and cream to apply to the affected area rwice a day.  Well He told me to keep the effected areas dry as to help stop the yeast from growing more, but my problem is is the infection between my legs constantly likes to produce its own secretion to keep the area wet.

And I am wondering what OTC or just buy in store product I can use to apply to the areas so as to they stay dry.  Would baby powder work?

Well the doctor, not dermatologist took a look at it and diagnosed it as jock itch under my arms and appearently ringworm in between my legs, ive been taking the oral meds/applying the creams daily for 3 days with also applying Gold Bond and nothing seems to be hurting it seems like its helping more and my rashes dont burn anymore atm.

Tho I have to keep this up for a month the doctor recommended lol.  Im feeling alot better tho in just 3 days in the 4 ares of my body that are effected.  Tho applying cream twice a day and taking an oral gris-peg every morning is gonna be a hassle.

Hello,

There are a few possibilities for this kind of rash.It can be a fungal infection(Tinea cruris) or a contact or irritant ( xerotic) dermatitis.

Wash your groin daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy groins. The damp groin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels.Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.Pls don’t apply any medicated powder without informing your dermatologist as it may aggravate the condition.Powder may also clog the skin pores leading to more dampness and hence more fungal growth.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing.
