I don't know whats wrong

I am 21 years old, 5'7" and last i checked about a month or so ago i weighed 125.
The problem started Monday May31 in th evening an hour after eating dinner. It started with a bad stomach ache and formed dairiah. The next day between 7am and 8am i was throwing up. After words i felt better through out the day and was able to eat some food. Then at 9pm to midnight i was throwing up again. This has happened for about 5 days now. by June 3 all i have been eating where crackers and drinking water. That night i did not throw up and was able to eat a little bit of soup. So i think im feeling better, the nausea is whats killing me right now, the nausea makes it hard for me to eat anything even if i hav hunger pains. Last night i had diariah and overwhelming nausea but all i did was gag and burp up air.
I guess what my question is, is this some kind of bug or viruse thats just acting weird in me?
I am fatuiged i have lost weight, I'm just not functioning to well at thispoint and just want to get better.
My mom told me to stop eating crackers and toast and start eating bananas, apple sauce, and soups. Also a probiatic called Digestive Advantage.

I went to the clinic and it is a form of stomach flu (Viral Gastroentritis) that is going around the community that usually lasts up to 2 weeks. Strangly enough its the kind of viruse you would get on cruises, and easly picked up.
I have passed week one, so now things should be looking better from here.
The Doctor told me pepto bismol and Imodium AD will help.

Thank you again~

Probiotics are always helpful after a bout of throwing up and/or any sort of bowel problem, (also after taking any type of antibiotic).  The probiotic helps re-establish a healthy gut, which you need for healthy digestion.  I am concerned that, if this is a virus or bug, it has hung on longer than most normally do.  Maybe it is time to consult with a doctor to rule out anything more serious.  Is there any possibility that you could be pregnant?  Pregnancy often causes ongoing nausea.  Good luck!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Actually your mother is right. Probiotics will help restore normal flora. You probably had a case of food poisoning with your system throwing out all the disagreeable stuff from your stomach. As a result your stomach became empty and since you did not eat enough the acid started adding to the nausea. Food poisoning is associated with diarrhea too. Eat small light meals like a lightly buttered toast, yoghurt, porridge, cornflakes; Take ORS. Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). Watch for a day or two. If still the symptoms persist, then you may need an antibiotic for the gut and would need to see a doctor. If after the antibiotic course too the symptoms persist, then there is a chance that you have developed either IBS or some food intolerance. In that case you would need to consult a gastroenterologist.
Please go through as advised. In all probability things will settle down. At any time you feel that symptoms are worsening (more than 8-10 loose stools in 24 hrs, vomiting, feeling faint, high fever etc) please go to the ER.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I would be going to the doctor about now if you are still sick. Did you eat anything different the night that it started or eat anything that might have been spoiled? I ate a spoiled piece of fruit one time and had to go to the doctor and get medication for like symptoms as you are having. It is important to keep liquids down as you could become dehydrated.
