I had a brief moment when I could not type or spell.

I had a moment that lasted about 15 minutes where I could not type the letters into the computer properly.  I was trying to type www.download.com and it just came out gibberish.

No need to post if this is not something I need to follow up on. It was terrifying for 15 minutes and it has not happened again in 2 years.

It may have been a seizure. It would be good if you could give more information. But, I would see a neurologist and get an electroencepalogram (EEG) done. It measures the brain waves and activity. If you haven't had it in a long time whatever triggered it may be gone though. Also, a CT scan or MRI of the brain would see if there was any structural abnormalities. If you had a high fever or on certain meds may cause this too.

Thanks! I am sure that it had a ton to do with anxiety. My pregnancy was a nightmare. I am going to have that EEG and sort out my brain! Thanks so much for your reply!!! <3

Yes I think it is a good idea to see a neurologist and get the EEG and scans if you can. I have migraines too and my EEG was positive for migraine/seizure pattern. I have been on meds and have been so much better since. You have been through a whole lot. I hope you can do something to lower your stress level.

I would definatley look into having a MRI/CAT and or EEG.

I know from experience that stress can do alot of weird things to you, like I completely go BLANK when I am on the spot about something, (questions, problems I can't fix) it's like I am frozen in time. It's embarrasing since people are so mean and they look at me like I'm crazy. Maybe I'm having an anxiety attack!

Thank you :) An EEG is a very good idea. I get migraines and headaches galore so it will maybe help two issues :)

I was pregnant and on bed ridden the the whole time. With all the other stuff that I have been dealing with it seemed trivial in comparison, but I have been feeling so much worse in general I figured I should at least get an opinon on it. I have headaches, migraines with auras, but never have I had a MRI or CAT scan yet.

I will look into getting that done. Thanks for your reply :) I thought it might be a stroke or something similar? But it went away completely...
Thanks again :)

Nope, none of that. I tried to type a d and would type some other letter. I could talk fine. No other sypmtoms. I just could not make my fingers type the letters I wanted. WHILE LOOKING AT THE KEYS?

I just did the Holmes and Rahe stress scale and I scored a 544 in the last two years. The last rating on the scale was 300+.... SO way high on the scale. I didn't realize really how much has gone on in the last 2 years until I wrote it al down. And it did not have a section of "attempted suicide of spouse", robbery, or kidnapping and assault (my sister in law) - so not that scary really, but still.

I just need a break. I am so tired. Thanks for your reply. Very much :)

can you give a better description? why exactly you were unable to type? did it go along with physical symptoms like bad coordination, shaking of hands? vision symptoms, loss of vision or visual field?

I read that you've been sick for many years, where there any clinical findings, values out of range in blood tests, liver function, hormonal levels, vitamins, calcium, etc?

has your skin become darker like suntan? menstrual disorders?
