I need advice!!

Help! This has been going on for 9 years!! I'm sick and tired of it all the time...! I have a "thick" feeling in my axilla's (armpits). It causes me to sweat as well. Because of this sweatiness and thick "feeling", I feel I don't have full function of my arms and don't want to use them because of the wetness. I always wear black so I don't show anything. I have had 3 surgeries on my axilla's to reduce tissue and had some sweat glands removed...so far, not the answer...could this be anxiety related because its been so long? Its very strange as sometimes it goes away on one side and is very bad on the other side. for example, my right side was bad for a long time, and then it "moved" to my left side....hmmm....any ideas or suggestions??? Thank you for any help and advice!!!

Thank you for your input....but I'm still wondering about any other issues as I've had 3 surgeries and it helped for awhile but then it comes back. Maybe its anxiety? Or maybe I have my hormones out of whack? This didn't start until I was in my early 20's....that's what's got me wondering about a lot of different things.

Hello,

You seem to be suffering from Hyperhidrosis(excessive sweating). It may be primary (without known cause and usually starts during childhood or adolescence and persists all life) or secondary (as part of an underlying condition like Hyperthyroidism or similar endocrine diseases and dermatological conditions like eczema, psoriasis).

Treatment usually involves antiperspirants like aluminium chloride (20-25%) in 70-90% alcohol, Iontophoresis (applying low intensity electric to the skin immersed in an electrolyte solution), botox treatment and surgery if none of the above methods are helpful. There are no specific drugs available for this.

Pls consult a dermatologist to find out the confirmatory diagnosis as treatment depends on the same.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.
