I'm a 49 year old female who have had horrible muscle pain all over my body for the past 3-4 years. I was told I have Fibromyalgia which is disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, and tenderness in localized areas. However, my pain has gotten worse in the past year and when I get up in the morning a can barely walk. Now I have developed some rashes in my underarms with painful bumpy pimple like that goes and come.
I don't know if its related to an infected lymph node or something else going on in my body. Could it be cancer or hodgkin disease? would someone help find answers so I can obtain some quality of life back. Thank you, Angie

Just so you know, Ibuprophen is NOT metabolized by your liver, it is matabolised by your kidneys. Your raised enzymes are not related to Ibuprophen for that reason. Obviously it could be something else causing it, but it isn't the Ibuprophen.
serenemale,
Sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. I have some information to share with you that you may be able to ask your doctor. I tell you my symptoms first: enlarged lymphnodes in my neck, armpits, and groin (these are known to be painless if there is disease present) at least that was my experience. I had night sweats, extremely itchy skin, pale skin, stomach problems, fatigue (usually occured around te same time each day) low-grade fever, and weight-loss (about 10 lbs). I also had a migrane headache and a stiff neck just prior to diagnoses.
Ask your doctor if he can do a Sed-rate (which is known to be elevated with Hodgkin Disease {HD} but indicates inflammation in the body too). Naturally a cbc with differential will tell you what's going on with your wbc's. If you're having amy problems breathing you may want to have a chest x-ray. There is so much more but I think you will benefit more from this website that I spent several years on. It's www.hodgkinsdisease.org. There are a lot of great people on that list and they will help you figure out what's going on with you. Good Luck. Write back if you have anything else to ask.

There are numerous reasons why your liver enzymes are high....I went for a while with strangly high enzymes as well, and I am an OvCa survivor who was somehow trying to relate it to the cancer....no, I was taking alot of Advil....the doctor didn't ask if I was taking Iburophen so it took a while to piece it together.
I do not know all the signs and symptoms of Hodgkins (I do have friend who had stage 4 when we were 15, we are now 45). I do not know how a Hodgkins diagnosis is made but I think that they can tell "something is wrong" based on white blood cell count and then look further.
It is more then your armpits not caving in....you would feel swollen glands, there would be pain and discomfort.
Please discuss your fears with your doctor.
Oh yeah, I failed to mention, I don't have Hepatitis A, B, or C.
Please help.
