I had bursas removed and a tendon tear (from some 40 years of golfi) surgically repaired (non-invasive) nearly 6 weeks ago, yet I'm still suffering a lot of pain, especially if I remove my sling. I'm not making the progress I expected, & am in just as much , perhaps more pain now than b4 the surgery, & pain pills provide little relief. The pain in my shoulder is esp bad first thing in the morning, even when I have adhered to my pain med schedule throughout the night. My main question is why is the pain so intense upon awakening, the slightest improvement taking some 2-3 hrs, even after a good night's sleep?
