Inflammed blood vessels?

My mother, has seriously red eyes!! I think the vessels in her eyes are inflammed. Her eyes get red when she's tired, uses perfume or eats certain(not all) dairy products. She never had this condition all her life. She uses eyedrops presecribed by her doctor but they contain harmful steroids. What is really wrong with her eyes? Can laser treatment remove these vessels and hence rectify the condition?

Red sore looking eyeballs are different than red vessels. If
mom has seen Opthalmologist, ck. drops to see if RX type. Then
simply ask her what Dr. said? she may have a condition that he
found & he's treating. Don't mix otc w/ RX drops. As far as
other problems & poster, If lids are invoved/red, could be an
allergy, infection transferred from eye-to-eye by touching,
environmental, old eyedrops. Never touch tip to eye area. As
far as 'Tears' it has preservatives that can inflame surface
vessels & dry eyes. Many Dr's will suggest the 1 use vial of
'Refresh' OTC, that flushes/cleanse/sooth. The generics I've
tried have same ingred. but are not the same & a waste. At bed,
try the 'Refresh Liquigel'. It really helps. Can use during day
but lt-blur till many blinks. Use wet cloth in a.m. if any lash
residue. Should get exam even if just a eye-health ck.

I also have the same red blood vessels in my eyes and I do not know how to get rid of them. My eyes are sore and sting at times. I use eyedrops called TEARS which help sometimes. Anyway I do not know what to do.
