Is their a way I can get information on prescription I took in the mid 1980's

I need to get my prescriptions and medical records from pharmacies and doctors that I no longer remember their names and are no longer in business.  Is their anywhere I can find that information for 25 years or more.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Officially records are usually kept only for 7 years after the last visit of the patient. If it was 25 years back and you have not got the prescriptions yourself, do not remember the doctors’ names, then the only way to update records is ask the people around you if they remember—you suffering from any illness, medicines you took, doctor you went to etc. Obviously you have some serious medical issues where past history is important. Also try and recollect yourself and make a date-wise record. Hope these tips help. Take care!

for medical records offices are only required to keep them for 7 years... you may not be able to get that info for that long ago and i dont know of a way to get any of it if you dont remember the doctors names. or at least the practice.
