Is this a seizure?

22-y-o female.  Laid down to take a nap this afternoon and was awakened by a violent shaking in my entire body.  It felt like my organs were going to jump out of my skin, especially in my chest and stomach, and my eyes were blinking and I had a terrible headache.

Is this normal during sleep or have I been awakened by a seizure?  If it's a seizure, what is my next step?

(I've been up for about a half hour now, and other than feeling tired and still having a headache, I'm pretty much fine.)

can't tell for sure unless you check it out with a physician.. do you have a history of having seizures, either yourself or your family?  did you have a bad dream?  most people gets so tired after having a seizure that they fall asleep for hours.. but everyone is different..

Sounds like you did have a seizure. Usually after a seizure, the patient has a headache, and is extremely tired. I definitely suggest you see doctor because you should know the reason for having them, and also need to take measures to prevent them. Good luck!
