It's sore. Please help

I used to wear a lot of high heels until one day I just got sick of it and my feet are tired. But the ball of my right foot got really sore at one point. I thought it was because I tripped over and landed hard on it. Now it's fine, but my right foot is sore, especially if I've been sitting on one position for a long time, then as soon as I set my right foot, it's sore, it seems like I have to give it time to adjust. It feels like I have a misplaced bone somewhere... coz once I clicked my foot, or massage it, then it's fine again. I can run, walk fast with no problem. If I've been on my feet for the whole day it's not a problem too. I feel it the most when I've been sitting down and doing nothing for a long period of time. And the foot is not swollen either.

Can someone help let me know what might be the problem? I'm still waiting for appointment to see a podiatrists at the moment, but eager to find out what might be wrong here. These days I've been wearing flat shoes. However I can't help to think that my shoes might be the at the very bottom of this problem.

Chances are your shoes are the problem.  I have always had problems with my feet as I have extremely high arches.  When I wear shoes that don't have the proper support, not only do my arches get really sore but so does the rest of my foot.\

If you only noticed it after you tripped, there is a chance that you might have a stress fracture on your foot and it has not healed properly.

Best advice is to see a specialist (as you are) and to wear shoes that fit properly and are not hard on your feet.
