I've been having an incredibly itchy scalp with hairloss for some time now!

Hello to all who are reading this, so my problem begins the top of my scalp with a little dandruff. The dandruff is not very visible unless I scratch my scalp vigorously. The flakes are very tiny and white in appearance

I have had this problem for quite some time now with doctors giving me no diagnosis and no solution. I have numerous diagnosis. Yet they still don't seem to know what the cause is.These symptoms seem to get worse on specific occasions where I am overly stressed. At first I was told it was folliculitis and was given acne medication, this helped me slightly but it was only temporary relief and came back after the meds was finished.the second medication I was prescribed was a fungal tablet which seemed to help more then the first prescription but only lasted a short while and the side affect wasn't worth it.

When I run my fingers across my scalp it feels bunpy, almost spot like with no spots or zits visible, these lesions or bumps are only sore when I move my hair strands or when I have scratched my scalp and are hard in texture.they feel like they are almost underneath the skin of my scalp and Although they are always present on my scalp, the only time they show up is when  I scratch them.

Along with these symptoms,I have been struggling with mild diffuse hairloss that seems to occur when these symptoms arise.

I am prone to excema but it usually disappears by now. I have tried nearly everything to get this under control but it like my scalp seems to get used to it and gets worse again.

This is affecting my social life terribly. I'm only 23 and Feel as if I'm the only one suffering with this because I am not getting a correct diagnosis, and don't know what course of action I should take?

I have had the same problem!! After a couple years of itchy scalp I had a big bout of hair loss it's didn't have patches but thinned out a LOT, then it stopped, I switched back to Pantene because it gave it more support and started biotin for hair growth
... now I am having all over itchy skin!! Going crazy btw... look into over growth of yeast!! Try a good digestive cleanse and see a naturopath Dr... my boss swears by the "eat right for your blood type" diet.. check it out!! Good luck!
