From what I've been told and seen... kidney pain usually causes back or hip pain.

Do you have an abdominal pain?

Terry,

A few questions......

Where is your pain? Back, front, or completely on the side?

Is it only in the morning that this happens?

How long does it last?

Is it progressively getting worse?

Left front pain can lead to diverticulitis....an infection with in your colon.
