Large bump on neck

by Trenock, Aug 25, 2009 06:43PM
My husband has had a pin-head sized pore with blackhead type substance since we got married.  When we first got married (4yrs. ago) I squeezed the blackhead and the pore became more like a pin-head sized dimple.  It soon filled up again - and he banned me from coming near the thing.  Doctors determined it was nothing to be concerned about at the time.

Fast forward 4yrs...we just returned from a cabin retreat off the ocean, and my husband's neck pimple grew to the size of a quarter!  He picked the scap at the opening, but nothing happened (no oozing puss, etc).  Now 2 days later, it seems to be growing larger (1/2 dollar coin size?) and the skin looks inflamed (red around the large pimple area).  My husband says there is pain, but not to worry.  This does not look normal/healthy to me though, so I am very concerned.

We booked an appointment with a dermatologist - but have to wait a month to see the doc!  ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS???
