Lasting nervous system damage after medication reaction?

I was given an IV Benadryl injection while in the hospital for a random colon infection. As soon as the Benadryl was injected I lost my vision, went totally flush, my heart rate went way up, and over the course of 20 minutes I lost control of my body and couldn't speak or move. My legs were having violent tremors and my mind was super sharp and alert even though I couldn't speak. After about 20 minutes I came out of it and could talk again but the level of adrenaline feeling in my body never subsided.
Since this happened I have been house bound because My heart rate is high and my adrenaline pumps like crazy when I try to engage in normal life outside the home, which within 23 hrs results in a mini version of what happened to me in the hospital. I've been in and out of emergency rooms for the last 2 months. I keep having reoccurring episodes where my adrenaline starts to rush, my heart rate goes high, my body gets really weak and dizzy, my mind get sharp or races, and I feel like I'm coming out of my skin. This can last for 24 hrs or so.
I spent 5 days in the hospital and they tested me for everything from cardio to neuro to infectious diseases. Nothing.
I've seen specialized MD's, natural doctors, nutritionist, itergrated medicine doctor and they just keep referring me on. Now I'm supposed to see an endocrinologist because my thyroid panel was not good to my last doctor (even though it had been checked like 3 times by an MD with no mention of it being abnormal).
Anyway before the Benadryl injection I was really healthy...normal energy, raising 2 kids, working out 3-4 times a week, mentally strong and thriving. Now I'm almost bed ridden and in a cycle I can't get out of. It feels like it damaged my nervous system somehow.
Anyone had a similar reaction to any kind of medication?

Hello~It sounds to me like you had an allergic reaction to the Benedryl. I am so sorry that no doctor or naturopath can help. I am not sure what to suggest as it seems you have tried them all. You are definitely still having anxiety attacks due to the drug. I would drink copious amounts of water to try to flush the rest out of your system sorry I can't be of more help.
