Left rib pain for 18 months

by momfrommo, Sep 25, 2006 12:00AM
I have been having pain in my left rib area for 18 months.  It started in my back and has moved to the front.  It is now very sharp with exhaling and persistent.  I have alot of pain in my left side.  I have a history of ulcer NSAID related and have been on protonix  40 mg for some time.  Whom should I see regarding this?

See your regular doctor and ask for rib xrays to be taken to check for abnormalities.  If these are not showing anything, then go for a spiral CT or an upright MRI.
