Left side abdominal pain when cough/sneeze

Hello...I have been experiencing a sharp, stabbing pain always in the left, lower abdomen whenever I cough or sneeze. I am 40, have had a c-section ten years ago, and have had this for a few months now. Any ideas?

i had a pain like that before and so did my mother in law turned out we was backed up. so i thought i was going good i was going at least 2 times a week. but my doctor said you are suppose to go at least once a day. so my mother in law and i just tried so things to help make us go and boy did we. the pain went away as fast as it came. so i would try that first and if it still doesn't work i would go to the doctor it could be something else.
