Hi, very frustrated right now. In the last week, I have had 2 hospital visits, 2 folos with doc and 1 upper GI (slight gerd), Ultrasound ab (normal)and lots of CBC draws. Last Thursday, it was a hot day, and I noticed I was sweating more than normal with simple tasks. I had severe menstraul cramps that day and took several midol..Bloodwork for stomach pain indicated low iron and potassium, so I also took a potassium pill, multivitamin, and gatorade often during the day. After dinner, of fish and veggies, 2nd fish entree of the day, I started to feel numb in low left forearm to hand..From that point on, I had a little nausea, and my legs were going fast. A tickling, tingling sensation from my hips to my toes began, and it felt like I had the life draining out of my legs and could barely stand...I had to keep moving my legs as the sensation was unbearable, and i felt faint. I drove home while my mom pounded my legs to get circulation going (she doesn't drive and is handicapped). By miracle, I made it home, but had paramedics take me to hospital, as I thought I had heatstroke or worse.
Docs couldn't figure the cause and just called it perpheral neuropathy, which my rheumy disagrees with, but doesn't have the answer either. I haven't been able to get out of bed until now, 4 days later..When I stand, sit or lie, I get the sensation back. I can't drive right now, and am so frustrated that I have no answers yet. Most of my tests looked norm, just had a lyme disease test taken, no word yet. I have a sed rate of 34..which I may have anklyosing spondylitis, unofficial.
Help please!
